I forgot how to blog....but it's all coming back to me now....
Fairbanks is like a movie, maybe just a movie I made up in my head - but just how I imagined it. All summer people are busy running, hiking, canoeing, camping, going to farmers markets, playing in park (people parks and dog parks)....You get the picture it's beautiful and no one can stand to be inside for one moment longer than they have to - and then - Boom, it's fall (for two weeks) ... fall was a good 2 weeks. Again, filled with activity, only now every one is anxious because they know the inevitable is just around the corner. That's today... the inevitable snow, but somehow its calming, no one is anxious or crabby thinking about it coming, there's acceptance in the air - the feeling that you want to sit by fire and read a book (or blog). So there you have it thanks to the snow, the blog is back.
We missed you all so much, but we have a long dark cold winter to fill you in on all our summer adventures. Stay tuned!
I was beginning to wonder if you even had internet in your new Alaskan home.....sounds like you have the seasons figured out there. Hopefully the blog in winter will help you make it through!! I miss it, but I love ENGLAND!! I also love the PFD $ I just got so Darren and I are planning on making a visit to AK for at least 72 hours next year. :)
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd like snow, but if it makes you blog, I like it! Thank goodness I can once again know what's going on in your life :)
